近年来,市场对系统时钟抖动要求愈加严格。大多数应用要求在156.25MHz载波的12kHz至20MHz带宽上,最大的RMS抖动上限为200fs。鉴于市场对超低RMS抖动时钟解决方案的需求不断增长,Abracon公司始终致力于提高解决方案的性能特点,同时减小器件封装尺寸。设计156.25MHz时钟振荡器有四种基本方法:

C.将低于50MHz的三次泛音/基音模式石英片,或是低于50MHz的温补晶振,与整数或分数模式锁相环(PLL)IC配合

D.低于50MHz的MEMS谐振器与整数或分数模式锁相环(PLL)IC配合方案A既不能提供最佳的RMS抖动性能,也不能提供成本最低的解决方案。MEMS谐振器方案(方案D)则不能满足最大200fsRMS抖动的主要性能标准。

方案B利用优化设计的三次泛音石英片,同时考虑到电极的几何形状和切割角优化,从而在成本、性能和尺寸方面实现了最佳融合。Abracon的AK2、AX3、AK5和AK7ClearClockTM有源晶振(XO)解决方案采用三次泛音、高Q石英片设计以及特定切割角度,可在-40°C到+85°C的温度范围内满足严格的频率稳定性要求,提供出色的RMS抖动性能,大大超过系统级要求。此外,Abracon研究、分析、设计和生产了ASGTX5系列温补晶振(TCXO)器件

利用方案C来满足Stratum-IV架构中温度稳定度和长时稳定度要求。三次泛音ClearClockTM有源晶振(XO)系列ClearClockTM有源晶振系列特别适用于光收发模块和数据中心架构,这些应用主要采用具有出色的相位噪声和RMS抖动性能的156.25MHz本地晶振,可做为10G、40G、100G和即将推出的400G系统的系统时钟。Abracon最近推出了ClearClockTM振荡器AK2系列,采用微型陶瓷封装,尺寸仅为2.5x2.0x1.0mm。随着AK2加入ClearClockTM系列,Abracon现提供全套抖动性能卓越的石英晶振解决方案,封装尺寸分别为业界标准5.0x7.0、5.0x3.2、3.0x2.5和2.5x2.0mm。
